Ativation S. Jacinto Military Base.
On September 12, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, A.I.R.A. will conduct its third activation, this time at the São Jacinto Military Base in Aveiro. Radio amateurs and enthusiasts are invited to participate in this event. The call sign used will be the Association's own: CS5AIRA/M. Activity will take place on the 20-meter and 40-meter bands, as well as VHF and UHF, including connections via the LART Lusophone Network and DMR communications on BrandMeister Talkgroup 268 (from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM) and Talkgroup 91 (from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM).
On September 12, 2026, A.I.R.A. (Association International Radio Amateur) will host its third special activation event from the well-known São Jacinto Military Base - 10th Infantry Regiment, in Aveiro.
Running from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, this initiative brings together amateur radio operators and radio communication enthusiasts for an event that combines technology, history, and the sharing of experiences.
The organizers invite everyone interested to follow the event via RF on the designated frequencies and bands and to make contact using the special call sign CS5AIRA/M.
Participants who successfully establish contact with the special station will be eligible to receive a contact QSL card, accompanied by information about the São Jacinto Military Base and the 10th Infantry Regiment!
These documents can be obtained via the A.I.R.A. website after the activation, ensuring an enriching and memorable experience.
In addition to these documents, all participants will be entered into a digital prize draw, with three winners receiving a symbolic gift from the Association.
This activation represents another opportunity to promote amateur radio, encourage community participation, and highlight national heritage in this case, the Army!
