Ativation S. Jacinto Military Base.

On September 12, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, A.I.R.A. will conduct its third activation, this time at the São Jacinto Military Base in Aveiro. Radio amateurs and enthusiasts are invited to participate in this event. The call sign used will be the Association's own: CS5AIRA/M. Activity will take place on the 20-meter and 40-meter bands, as well as VHF and UHF, including connections via the LART Lusophone Network and DMR communications on BrandMeister Talkgroup 268 (from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM) and Talkgroup 91 (from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM).

Activation of the Barra Lighthouse - Ilhavo - Portugal (Done)

On July 18, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, A.I.R.A. will be activating the Barra Lighthouse in Ilhavo - Aveiro. Amateur radio operators and enthusiasts are invited to participate in this event. The callsign is CS5AIRA-P. The activity will take place on the 20 and 40 meter bands, VHF and UHF, including connections via the Lusophone LART Network and the QO-100 satellite, as well as DMR BrandMeister Talkgroup 268 communications.

Santo André Ship Activation (Done)

On May 2nd, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, A.I.R.A. has activate the Santo André Ship in Ílhavo, Aveiro, inviting radio amateurs and enthusiasts to participate in person or through the special callsign CS5AIRA. The activity was taken place on the 20 and 40 meter bands, VHF and UHF, including connections via the Lusophone LART Network and the QO-100 satellite, facing the technical challenge of installing antennas on board.
